The Borough Basket Vendor Terms and Conditions

The Borough Basket is an online listings directory linked to the Love Basingstoke website which allows independent businesses (vendors) based in the Basingstoke and Deane District to advertise their services. Vendors should familiarise themselves with these terms.

Vendors are required to hold all permits, licences, consents and authorisations necessary to enable it to trade and use The Borough Basket to promote their business, including business and property registrations and certifications, and food hygiene certifications where required.

The Vendor shall not list any prohibited items for sale using The Borough Basket. These include but are not limited to: illegal products or services, products and services that infringe intellectual property rights, products and services that are unfair, predatory, or deceptive, adult content and services, and gambling.

Where any Listing provided by the Vendor includes photographic or video images of the Vendor or a child in their care (‘images’), the Vendor gives consent to The Borough Basket to display the images on the lovebasingstoke.co.uk/theboroughbasket and www.theboroughbasket.co.uk website and to use them for the purpose of promoting the Borough Basket website. In giving consent, the Vendor acknowledges that The Borough Basket will store the images electronically in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation and subject to the right for the Vendor to withdraw their consent at any time by contacting The Borough Basket via business@lovebasingstoke.co.uk. In any event, the consent will be valid for 5 years from the date of the original Listing, at which point the Vendor will need to renew their consent. The Intellectual Property rights for the images will remain vested in the Vendor.

It is the responsibility of the vendor to inform Love Basingstoke of any changes to their listing to ensure it is up to date.

Vendors can ask for their listing to be removed at any time in writing to business@lovebasingstoke.co.uk. The Love Basingstoke team will action this at their earliest opportunity.

The Borough Basket Customer Terms and Conditions

The Borough Basket is an online directory linked to the Love Basingstoke website which allows independent businesses based in the Basingstoke and Deane District to advertise their services.

The Partners are not a vendor, a seller, or any kind of agent or intermediary for you or any of the vendors that make products available to you through The Borough Basket and Love Basingstoke websites. Consequently, the Partners are not responsible for any part of the contract for the supply of products by any vendor, and this includes delivery, returns, refunds, guarantees, warranties or other after-sale care or for any related problems you may suffer. You will need to make your own independent judgement regarding your interaction with any vendor including the purchase and use of any products made available by them.

The Borough Basket and Love Basingstoke website contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by The Partners of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them.

When purchasing an item on The Borough Basket you are sharing your contact information with the Vendor and you should familiarise yourself with their privacy policy.

This online marketplace is a project by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and supported by The Love Basingstoke group which includes Festival Place, Destination Basingstoke, Basing View, Anvil Arts, Curchod & Co, BDT Commercial Property Agents and The Malls.
