Debs had a career change in 2016, from being a teacher to leading an arts and engagement project for a new build community in Bristol. Here, she met some of the team from Sovereign Housing Association (now SNG) and knew that she wanted to be part of their story. When an opportunity appeared in 2017, she joined the organisation working in the Employment and Skills Team. In 2020, she became the Social Impact Manager and has integrated the use of impact measurement across Community Investment and the wider organisation. Debs also manages supplier social value relationships and has coordinated ESG reporting. Since 2020, Debs has enabled the organisation to measure £249.3m of social impact, where part will be used as evidence for sustainability linked financial products.
